About Me

After finishing my degree, I worked in London for sixteen years with adults with special needs, mental health, drug and alcohol difficulties. It was this work as well as my own first experience of personal therapy that led me to want to train as a counsellor. While studying for my Postgraduate Diploma in counselling, I started a counselling placement in a GP surgery in South-East London where I continued working for six years. Here I developed my clinical practice and worked with a wide range of individuals from all sections of the community. Since 2008 I have worked as a counsellor at the Terrence Higgins Trust, the Rock Clinic in Brighton, a number of local authority schools in East Sussex and in private practice.
